Description

History

Bacopa monnieri also known as water hyssop, herb of grace or Indian pennywort is a glabrous, small, prostrate or creeping annual herb. It is distributed in tropics and subtropics of the world in Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, China, Taiwan, Vietnam and Pakistan. It is also found in Florida, Hawaii and southern states of USA and the Mediterranean basin. It grows gregariously in damp, marshy places, the banks of pools and along streams and ditches. It is a native to the wetlands of southern and Eastern India, Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia, and North and South America.

Function

Bacopa monnieri is a unique nervine tonic, which rejuvenates the nerves and brain cells for healthy brain functioning. It also promotes relaxation of the mind.
